We Can't Change the World Unless We Change Ourselves
INNOCENT UNTIL PROVEN GUILTY
In Nigeria today, once you are arrested by any security agencies, you are already guilty of a crime you are yet to be charged to court for, or yet to be sentenced by the judge. Even your rights as a suspect when arrested are not read to you, instead the police officer tells you not to form i-to-know or else, you will regret the day you were born.
For those who have showed to our security agencies that they know their rights have had multiple criminal charges or accusations they weren’t involved in, filed against them, just because they tried to tell the Officers their job.
For years now, suspect, as they are meant to be portrayed have been paraded like criminals, even though many of them haven’t been charged to court, talk less of being found guilty by the Judge. These people are paraded on both regional and national television stations, with their pictures plastered on daily publications; Newspapers or Magazines.
It is said that, “one is innocent until proven guilty”, but not in the case of Nigeria, or at least, the case of poor people who are not rich enough to quench the taste of our Security officers, or don’t have the guts to steal millions or billions of naira.
The way these suspects are displayed on the screen and publications, make one wonder, what really is the true definition of “Suspect”? Or do Nigeria Security Agencies have their own personal definition of “Suspect” that we do not know of? Or Do their own definition apply to just the poor?
Because we don’t see the rich and influential, those who have committed far worse crime than these Suspects, get the same treatment like the Suspects who choose to indulge in criminal activities when the government failed in its duty toward the citizens.
Criminal activities shouldn’t be condoned of course; stealing someone’s property is wrong and anyone found guilty of any kind of crime should face the consequences. But it is important to note that the word “Suspects” and “Guilty” can’t be used for a person at the same time. You can’t treat someone who has already been found guilty as a suspect, just like you can’t treat someone who is still a suspect, yet to be charged to court and sentenced by the Judge as tho the person has already been found guilty.
In a civilized country, things are not done that way, but the way affairs are run within Nigeria shows that we are many years behind civilization. Like a Lecturer at the Nigerian Institute of Journalism (NIJ), do say, “Nigeria is ten years behind”.
It unfortunate that this treatment is only melted on the poor, the rich are treated the way a suspect is meant to be treated; even with special privileges, which the poor are denied. The rich are still fully clothed and never paraded, unlike the poor ones who are half naked most of the time they are paraded, with just boxers covering their sensitive parts, with the women dressed like a disturbed person.
These people are scrutinized by reporters even before they face the Judge. They have already been put through a process by the Police and Journalists that is enough to leave them morally and mentally derailed even before court proceedings.
The sad part is that, even Journalists who are meant to protect the citizens from such injustice are fully and deeply involved in the injustice itself. These are one of the ways the media or news organizations get to fill their space, and attract readers. The very thing they sworn to be against and preach against, is the very thing they do buoyantly and is what they use to attract advertisers.
The media has a job to do, and that is to protect the rights of the citizens, not just to broadcast news about daily activities within governments’ confines or entertain us, but to also educate their readers, viewers and listeners of their right and expose those who dared to trample upon the citizens right; these are one of the social contracts the media has with the people.
No matter who the citizen is, be it a law abiding citizen, a suspect, or criminal, everybody has their rights. Your Human Rights doesn’t end because you have been charged to court or found guilty. There are some treatments that a citizen never should go through; even inside the prison. And one of the social responsibilities of the media is to expose, defend and educate the citizens on such maltreatments.
But the Nigerian media have failed in its duty to protect the citizens from their rights being trampled upon, because the press also tramples upon them. One doesn’t need to travel abroad, before you know how Human Rights are held to the highest esteem by the media; take example, USA and Britain. One can’t find on their cable news, CNN or BBC, suspects being paraded by their Police officers.
This is not done in the western world, because even a hardened criminal, terrorist, have their rights, there is a limit to what you can say towards them, and a limit to how you treat them. For some years now, there have been protest and condemnation to how the United States security Intelligence Agencies get their suspects to talk. Condemnation has trailed the waterboarding technique used to get information from terrorists; this is the same USA that lost many lives to the act of terrorism some years ago, the same citizens of the country now call against the way the terrorists are being treated.
If they (westerner world) could show a bit of sympathy towards a terrorist, imagine how their petty thieves are treated. This is the reason why some Nigerians would prefer to go to jail over there, than live as a free man in Nigeria, because their ex-convicts always look healthier than the free man in our country.
Law enforcement agencies are always careful about what they say about suspects or criminals or how they treat them, because the same suspect they are charging to court can sue them as well. But here in Nigeria, caution is thrown into the wind.
It is important to note that everyone is innocent until proven guilty; this statement isn’t limited to the rich or influential, but to all citizens. Even when caught in the act, the faith of the person should be left to the Judge, they are not to be paraded like criminals when the court is yet to call them that. Even after they have been found guilty, that doesn’t take away all their human rights and privileges, it only reduces them.
Note that not everyone that was paraded in front of the camera were sentenced to jail or found guilty after court proceedings. So what happens to their image after they are set free, because they had no hand in the robbery or accusations? The Police don’t bring them back to the media to explain that they are innocent of the charges. They just release them into a society where they have already tainted their image and reputation.
That’s why the Lagos State Police command was threatened with a law suit some weeks back for defamation of character by some individuals the Command paraded as suspects behind the much publicized robbery attack at some banks in Lekki some months back, which led to the death of a young girl.
These individuals might have the fund to employ a private lawyer to defend them. What about those ones that the same injustice have been melted on but not rich enough to employ a private lawyer as well, so they have to depend on the lawyer the government provide them; the same lawyer who only fight for the reduction of imprisonment years of the accused, and not to first prove the innocence of the suspects.
The best way to fight this injustice melted to only some section of the society is for the Media, Human Rights Activists and Human Right Commission to be against it as well. Without the support of the media, this wrongful act by the Police officers will continue. A stop should be put to the parading of suspects by the Police. Even after the suspects have been found guilty; they shouldn’t be set free after years of being locked up, and still feel imprisoned in a society that they once called home. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!

Nigeria's President Inagural Speech; May 29 2015
![]() |
| The 2015 Nigeria's elected President; His excellency Muhammadu Buhari |
Muhammadu Buhari following his swearing-in as
President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria on
29th May, 2015
I am immensely grateful to God Who Has
preserved us to witness this day and this
occasion. Today marks a triumph for Nigeria and
an occasion to celebrate her freedom and
cherish her democracy. Nigerians have shown
their commitment to democracy and are
determined to entrench its culture. Our journey
has not been easy but thanks to the
determination of our people and strong support
from friends abroad we have today a truly
democratically elected government in place.
I would like to thank President Goodluck
Jonathan for his display of statesmanship in
setting a precedent for us that has now made
our people proud to be Nigerians wherever they
are. With the support and cooperation he has
given to the transition process, he has made it
possible for us to show the world that despite
the perceived tension in the land we can be a
united people capable of doing what is right for
our nation. Together we co-operated to surprise
the world that had come to expect only the
worst from Nigeria. I hope this act of graciously
accepting defeat by the outgoing President will
become the standard of political conduct in the
country.
I would like to thank the millions of our
supporters who believed in us even when the
cause seemed hopeless. I salute their resolve in
waiting long hours in rain and hot sunshine to
register and cast their votes and stay all night if
necessary to protect and ensure their votes
count and were counted. I thank those who
tirelessly carried the campaign on the social
media. At the same time, I thank our other
countrymen and women who did not vote for us
but contributed to make our democratic culture
truly competitive, strong and definitive.
I thank all of you.
Having just a few minutes ago sworn on the Holy
Book, I intend to keep my oath and serve as
President to all Nigerians.
I belong to everybody and I belong to nobody.
A few people have privately voiced fears that on
coming back to office I shall go after them.
These fears are groundless. There will be no
paying off old scores. The past is prologue.
Our neighbours in the Sub-region and our African
brethenen should rest assured that Nigeria under
our administration will be ready to play any
leadership role that Africa expects of it. Here I
would like to thank the governments and people
of Cameroon, Chad and Niger for committing
their armed forces to fight Boko Haram in
Nigeria.
I also wish to assure the wider international
community of our readiness to cooperate and
help to combat threats of cross-border terrorism,
sea piracy, refugees and boat people, financial
crime, cyber crime, climate change, the spread
of communicable diseases and other challenges
of the 21st century.
At home we face enormous challenges.
Insecurity, pervasive corruption, the hitherto
unending and seemingly impossible fuel and
power shortages are the immediate concerns.
We are going to tackle them head on. Nigerians
will not regret that they have entrusted national
responsibility to us. We must not succumb to
hopelessness and defeatism. We can fix our
problems.
In recent times Nigerian leaders appear to have
misread our mission. Our founding fathers, Mr
Herbert Macauley, Dr Nnamdi Azikiwe, Chief
Obafemi Awolowo, Alhaji Ahmadu Bello, the
Sardauna of Sokoto, Alhaji Abubakar Tafawa
Balewa, Malam Aminu Kano, Chief J.S. Tarka, Mr
Eyo Ita, Chief Denis Osadeby, Chief Ladoke
Akintola and their colleagues worked to establish
certain standards of governance. They might
have differed in their methods or tactics or
details, but they were united in establishing a
viable and progressive country. Some of their
successors behaved like spoilt children breaking
everything and bringing disorder to the house.
Furthermore, we as Nigerians must remind
ourselves that we are heirs to great civilizations:
Shehu Othman Dan fodio’s caliphate, the Kanem
Borno Empire, the Oyo Empire, the Benin Empire
and King Jaja’s formidable domain. The blood of
those great ancestors flow in our veins. What is
now required is to build on these legacies, to
modernize and uplift Nigeria.
Daunting as the task may be it is by no means
insurmountable. There is now a national
consensus that our chosen route to national
development is democracy. To achieve our
objectives we must consciously work the
democratic system. The Federal Executive under
my watch will not seek to encroach on the
duties and functions of the Legislative and
Judicial arms of government. The law enforcing
authorities will be charged to operate within the
Constitution. We shall rebuild and reform the
public service to become more effective and
more serviceable. We shall charge them to apply
themselves with integrity to stabilize the system.
For their part the legislative arm must keep to
their brief of making laws, carrying out over-sight
functions and doing so expeditiously. The judicial
system needs reform to cleanse itself from its
immediate past. The country now expects the
judiciary to act with dispatch on all cases
especially on corruption, serious financial crimes
or abuse of office. It is only when the three
arms act constitutionally that government will be
enabled to serve the country optimally and avoid
the confusion all too often bedeviling governance
today.
Elsewhere relations between Abuja and the
States have to be clarified if we are to serve the
country better. Constitutionally there are limits to
powers of each of the three tiers of government
but that should not mean the Federal
Government should fold its arms and close its
eyes to what is going on in the states and local
governments. Not least the operations of the
Local Government Joint Account. While the
Federal Government can not interfere in the
details of its operations it will ensure that the
gross corruption at the local level is checked. As
far as the constitution allows me I will try to
ensure that there is responsible and accountable
governance at all levels of government in the
country. For I will not have kept my own trust
with the Nigerian people if I allow others abuse
theirs under my watch.
However, no matter how well organized the
governments of the federation are they can not
succeed without the support, understanding and
cooperation of labour unions, organized private
sector, the press and civil society organizations.
I appeal to employers and workers alike to unite
in raising productivity so that everybody will have
the opportunity to share in increased prosperity.
The Nigerian press is the most vibrant in Africa.
My appeal to the media today – and this
includes the social media – is to exercise its
considerable powers with responsibility and
patriotism.
My appeal for unity is predicated on the
seriousness of the legacy we are getting into.
With depleted foreign reserves, falling oil prices,
leakages and debts the Nigerian economy is in
deep trouble and will require careful
management to bring it round and to tackle the
immediate challenges confronting us, namely;
Boko Haram, the Niger Delta situation, the power
shortages and unemployment especially among
young people. For the longer term we have to
improve the standards of our education. We have
to look at the whole field of medicare. We have
to upgrade our dilapidated physical
infrastructure.
The most immediate is Boko Haram’s
insurgency. Progress has been made in recent
weeks by our security forces but victory can not
be achieved by basing the Command and Control
Centre in Abuja. The command centre will be
relocated to Maiduguri and remain until Boko
Haram is completely subdued. But we can not
claim to have defeated Boko Haram without
rescuing the Chibok girls and all other innocent
persons held hostage by insurgents.
This government will do all it can to rescue them
alive. Boko Haram is a typical example of small
fires causing large fires. An eccentric and
unorthodox preacher with a tiny following was
given posthumous fame and following by his
extra judicial murder at the hands of the police.
Since then through official bungling, negligence,
complacency or collusion Boko Haram became a
terrifying force taking tens of thousands of lives
and capturing several towns and villages
covering swathes of Nigerian sovereign territory.
Boko Haram is a mindless, godless group who
are as far away from Islam as one can think of.
At the end of the hostilities when the group is
subdued the Government intends to commission
a sociological study to determine its origins,
remote and immediate causes of the movement,
its sponsors, the international connexions to
ensure that measures are taken to prevent a
reccurrence of this evil. For now the Armed
Forces will be fully charged with prosecuting the
fight against Boko haram. We shall overhaul the
rules of engagement to avoid human rights
violations in operations. We shall improve
operational and legal mechanisms so that
disciplinary steps are taken against proven
human right violations by the Armed Forces.
Boko Haram is not only the security issue
bedeviling our country. The spate of kidnappings,
armed robberies, herdsmen/farmers clashes,
cattle rustlings all help to add to the general air
of insecurity in our land. We are going to erect
and maintain an efficient, disciplined people –
friendly and well – compensated security forces
within an over – all security architecture.
The amnesty programme in the Niger Delta is
due to end in December, but the Government
intends to invest heavily in the projects, and
programmes currently in place. I call on the
leadership and people in these areas to
cooperate with the State and Federal
Government in the rehabilitation programmes
which will be streamlined and made more
effective. As ever, I am ready to listen to
grievances of my fellow Nigerians. I extend my
hand of fellowship to them so that we can bring
peace and build prosperity for our people.
No single cause can be identified to explain
Nigerian’s poor economic performance over the
years than the power situation. It is a national
shame that an economy of 180 million generates
only 4,000MW, and distributes even less.
Continuous tinkering with the structures of power
supply and distribution and close on $20b
expanded since 1999 have only brought
darkness, frustration, misery, and resignation
among Nigerians. We will not allow this to go on.
Careful studies are under way during this
transition to identify the quickest, safest and
most cost-effective way to bring light and relief
to Nigerians.
Unemployment, notably youth un-employment
features strongly in our Party’s Manifesto. We
intend to attack the problem frontally through
revival of agriculture, solid minerals mining as
well as credits to small and medium size
businesses to kick – start these enterprises. We
shall quickly examine the best way to revive
major industries and accelerate the revival and
development of our railways, roads and general
infrastructure.
Your Excellencies, My fellow Nigerians I can not
recall when Nigeria enjoyed so much goodwill
abroad as now. The messages I received from
East and West, from powerful and small
countries are indicative of international
expectations on us. At home the newly elected
government is basking in a reservoir of goodwill
and high expectations. Nigeria therefore has a
window of opportunity to fulfill our long –
standing potential of pulling ourselves together
and realizing our mission as a great nation.
Our situation somehow reminds one of a passage
in Shakespeare’s Julius Ceasar
There is a tide in the affairs of men which,
taken at the flood, leads on to fortune;
Omitted, all the voyage of their life,
Is bound in shallows and miseries.
We have an opportunity. Let us take it.
Thank you
Muhammadu Buhari
President Federal Republic of NIGERIA
and
Commander in-chief-of the Armed forces

Some Pretty Cool Stuff; Life's Ephemeral
#Seriously_Like_Them
The moment you feel like giving up is when you're introduced to two things: your limits, and your opportunity to go past those limits.
I fall, I rise, I make mistakes, I live, I learn, I've been hurt but I'm alive. I'm human, I'm not perfect but I'm thankful.
Most beautiful thing is when you make someone smile, and they try so hard not to smile but they just can't stop smiling
Be proud of yourself for how far you have come, and never stop pushing to be the best you can be.
Before you assume, learn. Before you judge, understand. Before you hurt, feel. Before you say, think.
Don’t let insecurity kill your hopes and aspirations. You can do whatever your heart desires.
There's a story behind every person. There's a reason why they're the way they are. Think about that before you judge someone.
People who get mad at each other over silly things, are usually the ones who care about each other the most.
Everybody has gone through something that has changed them in a way that they could never go back to the person they once were.
#But seriously life's ephemeral for one not to ever want to be happy... So believe me honestly whatever you can do to try to do it we never can tell what tomorrow holds. I want you to always hold on to hope...

Students Alarming Failure; REASONS
It is not news that considerable numbers of students at elementary, secondary and tertiary institutions fail their school examinations at a very alarming rate nowadays. This is not very funny and it is not limited to our country but it is a global misnormal among the youth.
The reasons are not far fetched as our crew shoulder it upon itself to find out what could have gone wrong among the young ones that tilts their attentions against acquiring knowledge that will brighten their future.
The Nigerian Ministry of education has changed the curriculum of elementary and secondary education times without number since the last two decade but the rate of failure among school children keep on increasing at alarming rate.
What are the factors responsible for students’ failure?
At the end of the findings, some of the major factors responsible for the failure of students in examinations are highlighted below:
*UEFA CHAMPIONS LEAGUE/ENGLISH PREMIER LEAGUE: The average football Crazy fan can analyse, calculate and give you details of the latest big money transfers, the amount in pounds who and who is earning per club as if they pay him weekly as an agent or an online researcher. They will give you in details the amount Ronaldo and Messi is earning yet no kobo accounts to them.
*THE SOCIAL MEDIA: Especially Facebook, all students now wants to be on Whatsapp, 2go, badoo and all the shit on Social network where they will chat, post and upload their artificial ugly pictures to impress someone on facebook.
*HUSSLING FOR DAILY NEEDS: Some sell shit while others do all sorts of odd jobs just to survive and these consumes much of our time. Well, they say the first law of nature is self survival, it's not their fault.
*HANGING OUT AT BABA IJEBU'S JOINTS: These are students who are in search of a "quickie" cash, involving themselves and spending their precious time forecasting at Baba Ijebu's joints, they never knew they are only paying into the Baba's accounts. The Baba gains alot more than you the loser.
*WATCHING MOVIES LIKE NOLLYWOOD & SOAP OPERAS: Especially ladies who love staying awake at midnights watching Paloma and Nigerian movies. The typical awkward, unethical, cheap, poor in techniques and ever boring Naija movies can be some students still spend their expensive time watching it....Na wa O.
EXCESSIVE SLEEPING: Common among the ladies who are jobless, they can sleep for 18 hours daily out of the 24 hours accredited to everyone. They sleep real hard as if it's a sickness.
*WATCHING PORN MOVIES & PLAYING PS GAMES: These are mostly for the sex starved guys who masturbates while watching porn movies popularly called "Blue film" in our local parlance, new society research has it that 7 out of every 10 students "hides" a porn video in his or her phone while the game freaks are only suffering from an Idle mind which is the devil's workshop.
*BOYFRIEND & GIRLFRIEND RELATIONSHIP: If you find 2 or more girls together in a private place their discussions is solely gossiping of how one Mr. Dickson is toasting and spending on them, time is money...use it well.
*HUSSLING #ASHAWO WORK FOR THE LADIES: These daughters of Jezebel spends alot of time on their Shabby, clumsy, indecent and immoral dressing just to attract suitors who will feast on their disgusting, stinking, dirty and smelling body and then pay them money thereafter. Packaging HIV for us to eat mtcheeew! Count me out or why should I even pay when we both enjoyed it.
*MODELLING (Ladies especially): What if you become a famous model with less expression, dumb intellectually and cannot see beyond your nose? Those celebrities you are trying to imitate passed through "reading" before achieving their goal #Copy that! Ok?
*DEPENDING ON SPECIAL CENTRES: These are for WAEC students Who likes to cheat, waiting for teachers to write answers for them on the board and passing their exams without stress. Their parents actually support them because they don't want to pay WAEC twice and that's a true reflection of Nigeria, breeding bad leaders for tomorrow, a #doomed generation.
*POWER/LIGHT PROBLEMS: For the Serious students like us #LOL...Power is a hindering factor because we love to read at night without burning candles, that's why I facebook instead, too much consumption of fuel for the generator? Abeg no be food....Since I was a kid I have been echoing the voices of UP NEPA now I am getting old I continue hearing the most popular word in Nigeria UP NEPA, maybe it will end in another generation.
*HANGING OUT WITH LECTURERS FOR MARKS: Hmmmn! Ladies again? Because they are the only ones with the "Use what you have to get what you want syndrome" Lecturers hardly seek for financial favours nowadays from the guys, they will only urge you to buy their handouts/textbooks.
My dear future leaders, start to discipline yourselves now to avoid these obstacles, it might sound funny and stupid but there's an element of truth in it, ignore the vulgar messages just as the bible warns "If your left hand is hindering you from making heaven, cut it off!

A Friend's Encounter at Just Concluded Lagos Carnival 2015; Tafawa Balewa Square -Obalende
My First Lagos Carnival Experience - Akanni Olamilekan
The much anticipated Lagos State Carnival 2015.
My ear drums have been apprehending waves of several gists about the annual event, hosted by Lagos Government, for couple of years now. This year, I decided to let go my imaginary thoughts of what Lagos Carnival does look like. I insisted I attend this year's edition of the event solely to catch fun, see live performances of couple our new artistes; CDQ, Kiss Daniel and co, get bae(s) contacts, return home safely. Ironically, what happened on that day was the in my arrangement.
Tafawa Balewa Square was really congested by different groups of people from different hoods with different intentions. I've been to couple of events that are as crowded as this (not free admission though), but this was so "different" to what I thought it would be. Choi! Some came to catch fun but many came to brawl so as to obtain stuffs, like phones, from people. My friends and I could hardly get a space to chill. We managed to make ourselves comfortable with an insight of getting the carnival's excitement.
Thereafter, the carnival began. Several groups of young and aspiring youths collectively demonstrated their carnival cultural presentations in uniform attires representing their various hoods in Lagos State.
Following couple of demonstrations, the governor-to-go, Babatunde Fashola, delivered his speech and immediately flew the premises.
The anticipation to see the invited artiste(s) rocking the stage demolished after a long wait and we (my girlfriends and I) left for home.
Walking down to Obalende Park, the three of us heading to different destinations, an action drama ensued.
An unknown guy suddenly tapped my shoulder, turning back to see who the dude was, a hot deafening slap bounced on my right cheek and all I could see were black and blue stars with sparkled lighting in the atmosphere.
I regained balance after another tried to give me a "raking kick" on my feet, but unfortunately couldn't get me down on the ground. In a snap, they were already five.
With the knowledge that Obalande aint my hood, all I had to do was to take my heels. They ran after me angrily, like I was a thief or something. WT… #Sigh! I ran into a woman's store selling provisions panting heavily, yet, they never hesitated to get into the store and dash me the "beating of life" in recent times. Thus, what I have done they can't explain.
My friends ran to my direction, stood at the entrance of the store and continued to shout at the top of their voices; "please help us oh, we don't know them oh." The shop owner stepped out in joint effort to stop the hoodlums from entering her store. Those thugs didn't lay a finger on them though, may be because they were ladies.
The whole scenario called for a dude's attention, who I can obviously call my helper. He ordered the thugs to leave immediately. They obeyed reluctantly. God knows who and what he is!
He explained that they were thieves and my outfit and charisma attracted their attention. Looking good is a crime now abi? I surprise oh! I was actually wearing a blue jean jacket alongside a blue shade, black round neck shirt, black pant and a cartoon-colour Timberland boot. I pulled the jacket when it was getting so heaty and unbearable, tied it on my waist before stepping out of the event centre. I obviously knew I was looking so fly, in compliment with the two beautiful girls at both sides of mine and the cell phones I was operating on our way down to the park.
That was I escaped their attack. Big thanks to my wonderful girlfriends and my helper.

OSHIOMOLE AND THE SNOW WHITE
***Written By Fakoyejo Olalekan***
Today, history was made in Nigeria or should I say, History was made again in Nigeria. Again, the popular American movie, Snow White and, Beauty And The Beast were filmed live in Nigeria. And a Nigerian played the lead role but unfortunately, our girls lost the Actress lead role to a Cape Verde goddess for the first time in three sequel of the movie(s); after Bianca and Shade Okoya played the goddess role with Ojukwu and Okoya respectively.
When the news broke, as expected, it was Trailed with mix-reactions; especially on twitter. The news of who the Male lead role is obviously shocked a lot of people. As to why he has to be the Prince Charming and not a Babyface or Beardgang guy (people with beard and looks like Drake or Kunle Afolayan).
The Prince Charming as you all know by now is our cool, calm and collected(Married), is our Edo State Governor, Comrade Adams Oshiomole; the action man, but was his actions good enough to land him such role and an opportunity of a lifetime as the “sweetheart" of the beautiful Snow White.
With this achievement, Gov. Oshiomole has shown to us all that he is not just a sweet talker in the political circle, but
he can also land himself a beautiful damsel with his words (If you know what I mean). This reminds me of the name of the popular Nigerian singer, WAJE, which means, “Words Ain't Just Enough" (You get me now?)
Just like congratulations have been rolling in, indirect insult or subtle insults have also made it way into the atmosphere. Trust Nigerians, we always find a way to throw jabs when the opportunity present itself...
He has shown that even the Beast can be someone's Prince Charming; so far you've earned yourself a better living, No matter how you look, you can attract a “Beauty like Snow White"
Take it or leave it, The Comrade (Gov. Oshiomole) has given many people hope of a beautiful future, if only people work hard today to earn themselves a brighter future.

NYSC CO-ORDINATOR, NASARAWA STATE REACTS TO INCIDENT
Courtesy of Linda Ikeji Blog (LIB)
Speaking to the 2015 Batch A Members, Mrs Christy I Uba said,
The affected student who can now be seen out and about in the Nasarawa camp was asked to report to her office at the end of her speech
An anonymous source contacted LIB with details of the reaction of the State Coordinator, NYSC Nasarawa State - Mrs Christy I Uba to the news of the maltreatment of a corp member on the Camp. (Read the previous story here). Her reaction was during the lecture hours in the Multi Purpose hall at the Magaji Dan Yamusa NYSC Camp, Keffi today.
First and Foremost, it is important for all to abide by rules & regulations. However, this did not warrant the said Man O War officials to manhandle the corp member. Those officials involved did not act on any official instruction and are solely responsible for this. She said she will handle this case as such will not be tolerated on camp - either Recklessness from camp officials or Indiscipline from all. Corp Members must also obey rules and instructions.Worthy to mention is that she also assured everyone that there will be no tribal differences on camp. The main line is that there must be discipline but this must not in any way be exploited by officials.
The Management will ensure that no one is manhandled. Indeed, some corp members come from homes where they're aren't instructed strictly, hence it might be difficult to adjust out of the blues. However, Corpers should please have an open mind to adjust accordingly.
